DREAMING OF THE SEA

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today! 

With the extreme temperatures we are having at the moment, who is not dreaming of WATER ;)?! Hence my post today featuring the ocean and one of the super cute mermaids available from the Glimps Store, called Sitting Mermaid!

I printed my sirene, did some fussy cutting and coloured her in Copics.

Skin: E21, 50, 51, 71

Hair: BV08, V04, 06, 17

Body: B04, 06, 26, 29, 69

Rock: W5, 7, 9

I decided to create a background for my sirene on a grey board. I used Fresco acrylic paints, applied with a sponge, for my sky and sea.

To add more interest to my background, I drew some land, palm trees and birds using Pitt pens. I also added touches of white to the sea with a Gelly Roll pen.

I then glued my sirene to the background - and here is the little scene:

GIRL JUST WANNA HAVE SUN

Hello everyone! 

It's Delphine here today! I am still dreaming of sunshine, so for my post, I chose to make a summer card.

I started by taking a piece of watercolour paper and used 2 blue Graph'o watercolour pens to suggest the ocean.

I chose to use the adorable 

Bikini digi image 

from the shop and and did some fussy cutting, then coloured her in Copics.

Here are the colours I used:

Skin: E71, YR000, 00, 01

Hair: E25, 31, 49, 59

Swimsuit and shoes: RV02, 04

Sunglasses: C7, RV02, 04

Towel: V09, 15, 17

Buoy: R24, 27, 29, 59

I die cut my piece of watercolour paper with a Lawn Fawn die and added some Nuovo Drops, gold and white gel pens on it - plus a little handwritten sentiment, and my Bikini girl of course! Here is the result:

WAITING FOR SUMMER

Hello everyone! 

It's Delphine here today! 

Are you dreaming of holidays and beautiful weather? 

I think I am! I am taking you to the beach today! 

For my post, I picked the sweet Vamos A La Playa, did some fussy cutting and coloured in Copics. 

Here are the colours I used:

Skin: E71, YR000, 00, 01

Hair: Y11, YR21, 27

Clothes: BG11, 13, V01

Hat: E50, 51, 53, 55, RV52, 55

Bag: BG11, 13, 45, 49

Glasses: C7, RV52, 55

I then picked some DPs to create a background for my character. From the top, I layered two Bella Blvd DPs, and added an MFT brown DP to suggest sand - a piece I cut with a Martha Stewart Punch. 

I then put all my elements together: background on the card base, a sentiment I cut from a Doodlebug pad that I put on foam for a bit of dimension, then I added my character on foam too. As a final touch, I put a few sequins and dots.

BIG HEART

Hello everyone! 

It's Delphine here today! 

I have decided to go Mixed Media for my post today since I really wanted to use the image called the Painter, which I just love! 

So of course, I had to use a little canvas board.

Using pink and white Pebeo Acrylic Paint, I coloured my 10x10cm canvas board. 

I then painted a red heart in the middle of my canvas. Using a sponge, I added red paint on the edges of the canvas, and once the red was dry, I did the same with black acrylic paint. 

I added gold hearts with a heart stencil and a gold gel pen. I then put some black outlines in Posca pen. I also put a bit of gold on the edges of the board. 

I coloured my Painter image in Copics.

Eyes: B00, 02, 63

Hair: E25, 59, YR24

Red: R35, 37, 39

Black: T5, 7, 9

Brush: E31, 35, 37, 74, 77, 79

I then glued my image to my board with tape. 

And voilà :)!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello everyone! 

It's Delphine here today! 

I need birthday cards so I picked an adorable image from the store called Regalina - perfect for the occasion! I coloured my image in Copics and created a CAS card.

Here are the colours I used:

Skin: E11, YR000, 00

Hair: E25, 59, YR21

Purple: V06, 09, 17

Blue: B02, 16, 18, 37

Red: R35, 37, 39

Gold: Y11, 26

Pink in the background: RV52, 55

Pink in the foreground: R81, 83, 85

I then cut my image leaving enough white space around it. 

I stamped a sentiment at the bottom and added a piece of My Favorite Things DPs with hearts (die cut with an edge die) and a piece of striped paper. I put a heart chipboard covered in Stickles on my paper, since I wanted to add something towards where my character was looking.

As a final touch, I added a few dots in pink gel pen :)

NATIVITY CHRISTMAS CARD

It's Delphine here today! 

Have you seen the latest Christmas release? 

I absolutely love it!! 

You can find the cutest Nativity images there among others, so I just had to use some of them for my post for today.  

I chose to use Family, with Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus. I printed my images, did some fussy cutting and coloured them in Copics.

I decided to create a background for the Holy Family on a grey board. I used Fresco acrylic paints, applied with a sponge.

I then added black hills to the background with a Pitt pen and I sponged a bit of black Distress Ink around the edges of my sky.

I then glued my images to my board with tape and foam squares for a bit of dimension. 

And at last I added a few details: a star chipboard with stickles a few gold dots in gel pen and I put some gold on the edges of my board. And voilà!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS .... HO HO HO !!!

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today! I'm back to share a Christmas scene in Copics, featuring one of the adorable Christmas stamps from the store - Babbo Pachetto! 

Since I love making CAS scene cards, I decided to create a background in Copics for my Santa :)

I created the mountain adding a bit of G20 and BV20 to avoid having a flat white mountain, then I drew a few trees in E70, YG03, 17, 67 and then coloured the sky in B00 and B02. I have kept things simple but will go back to my background at the end to add a few details.

I then coloured the skin (E000, 00, 11, 71 and R20 for the cheeks)  and white of my Santa (W0, 1, 3 for the clothes and C0, 1, 3 for his beard and eyebrows. It's always best to colour light parts before colouring dark parts to avoid dragging dark colours accidentally with your light markers.

I then coloured the white of the snow, using BG000, C1 and B60. 

Next I continued with my Santa. The reds are C5, R35, 37, 39, the black is C5, 7, 9 and the present is Y11, 23, 26 and YG95, 99.

Now to add a few extra details: green multiliner on the trees and a bit of snow in acrylic paint, a few white highlights too and some dots in gel pen on the present. Here is the recap of all the markers used:

MAKE WAVES !

Hello everyone! 

It's Delphine here today! 

Did you know the Glimps store has the cutest pirates ever? 

I have wanted to colour one for ages and finally got to create a little something using the adorable Pirata Baby Capitano! 

I printed my pirate, did some fussy cutting and coloured him in Copics, of course ;)

I decided to create a background for my pirate on a grey board. I used Fresco acrylic paints, applied with a sponge, for my sky and sea.

I then glued my pirate to my background and stamped a nice funny sentiment on it.

As you can see, I also went back to add a bit of white paint for sea foam at the bottom of my image and put some gold on the edges of my board.

Pirata Baby Capitano

SUMMER MODE: ACTIVATED

Hello everyone! 
It's Delphine here today! I am completely in summer mode and the store has lots of adorable images so I went for a very summery one called Flamingo Summer :) 



I cropped and resized my image in MS Word - I merely "cut" her legs since I knew I wanted them to be in the water and not visible. I coloured my image in Copics and created a very CAS card.

I simply die cut my image with a Lawn Fawn die, added 2 pieces of washi tape and two chipboard letters coloured in gel pens.  .
